“The droney synth. the nonchalantly tragic vocals. That dark underground vibe of yesteryear. Very cinematic.”

WHO

Odale Cooper

Odale Cooper is a music producer, composer, musician, and photographer interested in analogue technique and tools operating in the digital world. He recently released a remix of Cat and the Queen’s Blades of Grass and plays bass guitar in the Toronto-based indie rock band The Mooks.

A veteran of the Toronto music scene for over a decade, Odale has worked in many genres from rock n roll to tech house to satirical hip hop comedy.

Jo Ryder presents an interesting challenge by taking advantage of both Odale’s interest in film photography and music production and is his first purely audio-visual project to date.

Lauralee sheehan

Lauralee Sheehan is a Toronto-based artist, musician, and founder of award-winning media studio Digital 55. Her work moves between sound, story, and subculture—where synths roar, feelings linger, and design becomes emotional architecture.

Former frontwoman of Lovely Killbots, Lauralee has released genre-shifting records, produced acclaimed media, and built a creative path shaped by film sets, late-night music sessions, and analog grit.

Jo Ryder is the culmination of her creative worlds focused on mood-forward synth, visual storytelling, and emotionally layered production—reflecting late-night city energy and introspective soundscapes.
